Everything around us transmit us something like a feeling and that`s what we call the atmosphere. I will try to explain with two different photos of the same place.
This is the star of Gran Via Alcala, Madrid. As we can see is the same place but with some differences. Those differences make us feel in another way. Each photo gives us a different feeling. But why? In the first photo we can see movement, we can see cars, we can see people,… but in the second one it’s empty, we can only see buildings and the streets. Now, imagine the first photo with the same things but now without the buildings. Obviously, it’s not the same. Doesn`t transmit what it transmitted before with the buildings. That`s the atmosphere. Every object, person, song, building, street,… make us feel something.
